Today I want to talk about something that can absolutely transform your life. Any guesses at what it is? Here are a few hints … it is free… powerful… and invisible? That’s right, folks, your MINDSET can absolutely change the course of your work, relationships, and life in general! And today I am digging into 5 minor mindset changes you can make that will yield BIG results.

Abundance VS. Scarcity:

This one can be tricky, but fully grasping its ideas and infusing it into your daily mindset makes a world of difference in every area of your life: in your business, relationships, finances, mental state… I *actually* could go on forever. People who live in scarcity mindset are often living in fear: of money running out, of sharing success, a true dislike of other people’s success. In their view, there is only “so much” of whatever it is (success, profits, joy), and they want as big of a piece as they can get. And truthfully, you guys, it is really easy to get pulled into this mindset, but I URGE you to cling to scarcity’s more joyful, less selfish counterpart, “abundance”.

The abundance mindset is the true belief that there is always enough- always more than enough, actually. Example: There is more than enough money, recognition, joy, success. to go around. As opposed to its less ideal, selfish counterpart of “scarcity”. Clinging tight to the abundance mindset allows you to worry less, genuinely cheer others, on and actually *attract* the things you want in an organic, natural way.

Community VS. Competition:

Awww, my favorite! Community versus competition truly has been a backbone of my business for as long as I can remember. I learned quickly that it can truly be a lonely road if you are only working from a competitive mindset– full of empty work, comparison, and lack of originality. When I was a newbie to the creative world I relied on relationships with other vendors where we could build each other up, share advice, and encourage one another. I found mentors, co-creators, and lifted up my fellow ladies and gents every step of the way! And as my success grew, I clung tight to the message of “community versus competition”. I made resources, fostered groups, and shared as much advice as I could because I truly believe that “we can only TRULY rise by lifting each other up”.

I Have Experience Others Can Learn From:

This is a perfect transition from “community versus competition” because it really can be hard to share our “secrets”, especially with the (gasp!) competition. But guys, I am here to tell you, that when you share openly with others, it not only builds your credibility and fosters meaningful relationships, I promise you will begin to learn from others as well. Now, I’m not saying you have to share every detail of your work and personal life, but I am saying that sharing the hard stuff: advice, tips, or personal strife can open big doors– to relationships, supporters, and a *true* support system. It’s hard for people to love on ya and root for you when they don’t know what’s goin’ on in your life! Open up, be vulnerable! You will never regret it.

I am worthy

Can I just tattoo this on my head, please?! I. Am. Worthy. 3 simple words that create such an impact. You *are* worthy… of dreaming big dreams, of love, chasing after far-off goals, of self-respect, and of crafting a life that serves you inside and out. There is no sense in playing small in this one lifetime– life is happening right now, and I want you to fully grab hold of its opportunities… Because YOU. ARE. WORTHY.

So often we create our own glass ceilings in what we believe we are worthy of. Based off of our past experiences or belief systems that were taught to us, we can limit ourselves (without even realizing it) because we believe we aren’t worthy of being more, earning more, doing more! Let those belief systems go, smash those limiting mindsets so that you can start being bolder in your dreaming.

I am unique

You are truly one of a kind, you know that? NO ONE can do life the way you do– how beautiful and freeing is that? You are so unique that your path is so uniquely yours. These three simple words “ I am unique” remind me to stay in my lane, focus on my own goals, family, aspirations, and dream authentically for *myself*. In this world, it is so easy to compare ourselves to others, but my friend, you are SO wonderfully unique, and you should be very proud of the irreplaceable human you are.
