I’m sitting here, actually in my office, where most of my week has been lived this week. Why? Because it’s webinar week! If you have absolutely no clue what I am talking about, here it is. A few months back, I flew to Virginia to meet my new business coach, Lise. We met through a series of unexpected events that can only have been orchestrated by God and I knew she was the right fit for me and my business. I had wanted to work with a girl boss who was truly living more, working less, and walking the walk. Lise was a Christian, devoted to her family, the mother of a sweet boy (I miss you Remy) and momma to two pups – one of whom lived in my lap during my stay. She loved decorating homes, had built her own health and wellness empire, and had more balance than most women who are running a million businesses. From the first time we connected and she invited me to fly to her, stay with her, and learn from her, I knew we would work.
Over our time together we planned out some free teaching I would do via webinars! Trust me, I had been WAY too afraid to even contemplate doing a webinar for years. What if tech wasn’t working? What if people couldn’t hear me? What if I totally messed up and froze? All of these questions worked their way into my gut and there they sat for a little too long. Lise assured me that I would rock them, promised me her support, and made me practice, practice, practice until I felt comfortable and confident in my delivery. The biggest thing I wanted was to be pushing out valuable, pertinent information that could truly change the lives and businesses of other photographers. To live that life that was lighting up others and I was going to pack as much as one whole hour would allow. In the midst of planning our webinars, we miscarried. Through that time Lise was there, praying over us, and letting me rest. She understood and that meant so incredibly much. She built a team of the most incredible brilliant minds to help me through this first crazy webinar launch and in it she introduced me to some incredible women: Ari, Michelle, Jennifer, Danielle: I am talking to you. This team lifted me up, spent nights and weekends making this the best thing we could, and they were the ones telling me that this was going to change lives. I knew deep down it could, but I was still afraid.
This week has been crazy, we have maxed out two webinars, I have taught hundreds upon hundreds (into the thousands) of photographers the “6 Lessons I Learned Creating a 6 Figure Photography Business” and in it, I have been able to work with some incredible people including the Honeybook team who continues to support my dreams of elevating the industry. (They sent the prettiest flowers this week and they arrived while I was live on the webinar, it was hilarious!) Drew has been keeping my wine glass full, putting up with my longer days, and has taken the naughty pups out on walks while I am live! It hasn’t been totally scary, it’s been somewhat hilarious at times, and talking to a computer screen won’t ever feel totally natural but this week has been exhilarating, exhausting, and exciting all rolled into one. Before I wrap this up, we decided to add one more day of madness to the calendar because our last two webinars were SO filled, they locked people out, so if you want to tune in, to hear my voice, my nervous laughter, I want you to join me this Saturday at 3PM for my webinar so that we can hash out some business stuff, join together to lift up the industry, and really, truly, transform lives and businesses all over the world.
