I met Haley and Michael for their engagement session at a location that is very near and dear to both of their hearts. Van Able’s of Hollandtown. Micheal’s family owned restaurant and also their wedding venue! They chose to have their engagement session done at the restaurant for a few special reasons. The obvious being its the place where they are hosting their wedding reception this summer and they wanted to have casual photos and wedding attire photos at the same spot and also because its the place where BOTH of their parents got married! How amazing is that?!
When I arrived to the session, the first thing they asked me was, “You’re not afraid of heights, are you?” They then proceeded to take me up a ladder onto the roof of the restaurant where we started their session! The sky was stormy and the air was chilly but the rooftop views were amazing. The best part? Haley has every intention of climbing up that ladder in her wedding dress so that we can re make the same photo on their wedding day! I can’t wait to come back to the restaurant and capture Haley and Michael’s wedding day and the family legacy that they are continuing! I also can’t wait to see how different the venue will look in the summer and capture Haley as a stunning bride and next to her groom back up on the roof of their amazing venue! – Courtney for Jenna Kutcher
