It’s easy to look at life post-wedding and feel like nothing has really changed. It’s easier to say “we don’t really need more photos of what we look like, we look the same as last year.” But then you blink your eye and ten years have passed and nothing (really, nothing) is as it once was. Let’s face it, this is probably the best we will ever look, so why the heck do we always put off photos? When Libby and Tyson emailed me about an anniversary session, I was so pumped up. I’ve walked with these two from engaged, to married, and now I got to celebrate some more milestones along side of them. This past year Libby started a new career, Tyson killed a few more marathons, they adopted a sweet rescue pup, Lola, and they moved into their first home in Madison (I’d say that’s one heck of a year you two.) Marriage is worth celebrating, it’s almost more worthy than an engagement in my opinion. Supporting one another, tackling life, the glorious, the inglorious, and all the in between that happens when you live along side another human being is something that deserves to be celebrated. I’m so happy these two get it and that I had another excuse to photograph their beautiful faces and then sit down and have a drink and catch up on all life has given us this last trip around the sun. Anniversary sessions make me the happiest, so it’s safe to say a few hours with Tyson and Libs made me giddy.
