What are those dreams you’ve been dreaming? Those places you’ve been waiting to visit? Those people you’ve been meaning to connect with? When are you actually going to do those things you’ve been wanting to do? This time of year is always a somber reminder that nothing is promised and today is the day to start living the life we’ve been dreaming about for so long. One year ago we lost a very, very dear friend in a car accident and while we continue to heal, we focus on using the time that we have here to do the things that make our heart beat fast and that make us come fully alive. Nothing is promised, growing old is a privilege and while we continue to live our lives like we have all the time in the world, time stops for no one. I want you to really think of this message, of the way that we are constantly waiting… waiting for perfection, for the right time, for those last ten pounds to be gone, for the promotion, or relationship, or new car. We spend our lives waiting for things that might never happen and we forget that each and every day we waste waiting, is a day that we could have fully lived. Can we give Buddha a big “amen” for this quote? I mean, how accurate and wise. This is my year where I let go of waiting for perfect and I just put it all out there. The real, the raw, the pretty, and the ugly. This is my year to do the things I’ve been dreaming about doing (ahem, The Jenna Kutcher Course) and to make connections with the dream chasers that I’ve been following a little too long. I want this year to be the year I stop waiting, stop pretending like life will begin what x, y, or z happens because I don’t want to look back on these years and wonder what they could have been filled with if I had stopped waiting and started doing. This year is for the dreamers and the doers, the people who are intentionally writing their story each and every day, and the ones who are done waiting. The trouble it, we think we have time. The trouble is, we get caught up in all of it and we never do the things we have on our bucket lists. Don’t wait for a milestone to tackle the dreams, don’t wait for things to feel right, just get out and start putting one imperfect foot in front of the other. Nothing is promised, but what is promised is that if you start moving, things will happen. They might not be the things you envisioned but the forward movement will propel you into the direction you were destined to go. So let’s stop pretending and thinking that we have all this time and let’s just get out and make it happen. You in?

Love the post and print! Just FYI – ‘Buddha’ is the correct spelling. Not ‘Buddah’
