“And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
KID, YOU’LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!
So…
be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O’Shea,
you’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So…get on your way!”
We were sitting in a park, sun beating down on our pale white faces, tee shirts on, arms exposed, cameras in hand, fresh air filling our lungs, wedding celebration happening and views for days (oh, those sweet San Francisco views.) It was one of those moments (or maybe I should say it was ten minutes) of pure bliss where there wasn’t anywhere else in the world I wanted to be and I couldn’t imagine doing anything other than all of this and calling it my job. I am writing this from the airport with sleepy eyes from a redeye flight and a crazy full heart (or maybe it’s just the heartburn speaking) but I just feel so fortunate to be able to mix the things I love doing and call it work. You know, the travel stuff and photography and hanging out with exceptional humans and making plans for reunions. San Francisco was quite good to us, from the weather to the eats, the conversation and the company, the long walks and the toes in the sand (I think there is still sand in my toes.) As this off season officially begins, I am anxious and excited to see where it will lead. I have some grand ideas and notions and I am excited to put this big head of mine down and get to work. I’ll keep you in the loop but things are going to start looking a little different around here and my dreams are growing and evolving each day – don’t worry, I’ve always been one to believe that sharing your dreams is powerful so this corner of the web will hopefully be filled with any odd dreams that creeps it’s way into my life and inspiration for you to chase yours along side me! Life is short, people, the places we’ll go are awaiting and we’ve got to grab life by the horns and soak it in. Monday’s don’t always have to be manic, let’s make it a magic one.
