so what am i currently loving? funny you should ask…
1.) i am able to enjoy each month without mega prep and stress leading up the holidays, if i were still in retail i would be knee deep in holiday planning and having meticulous details haunt my nights of sleep. this year i am able to enjoy each month and all it has to offer, hello thanksgiving without the black friday dread. i am also trying to get creative with gift giving this year, let the brainstorming begin. i’m cool with that.
2.) i was able to head home for a weekend and hang out with my siblings. there is something so sweet about the minnesota air, even if i only breathe it for twenty four hours, it just is refreshing. not to mention an attempted family portrait session with a tripod and two crazy pups. yes, the results kind of crack me up but hey, we are only together so often… you will see the results soon.
3.) holiday inspired coffee creamers, need i say more? pumpkin spice, cinnamon spice cookie, peppermint mocha… each and every single one makes me eager to brew another cup of jo and it makes my mornings in bed editing that much sweeter… literally. i love the holidays and all of the flavors they bring from delicious pumpkin pie to the savory stuffing and potatoes. note to self: expandable waist lined pants…
4.) speaking of pants, i love the fashion that fall invites. read: vests, scarfs, boots, and mittens. i love being comfy cozy and layering up, this season is proving to be a fashion forward one that is making me want to invest in some key pieces to keep me looking good… wait, who am i kidding? i am hibernating the month of november and not leaving bed… ever, yes. things i am wanting this instant: scarf, boots, coat.
5.) wedding bookings: this is engagement season, the holidays inspire love. i get inboxes full of love stories and wedding details and REFERRALS. seriously, friends and readers, referrals make my heart the happiest. they make my world go round and next year is chalk full with fabulous couples that came from my crazy awesome clients. its like some unwritten law that your clients hang out with the coolest people who happen to get engaged and need a wedding photographer! want to make my day? share a link to this post and tell your friends about me, you can tell them: i am dorky, not as hilarious as i try to be, head over heels in love with my job, photo loving, wedding junkie… just tell them something cool. i’m only booking a few more weddings for 2013!
