We met almost exactly a year ago, at the fabulous Tom + Kelly’s wedding! I commented on how seriously gorgeous Aly’s ring was and she excitedly told me how they had just gotten engaged. I spent the day among Tom + Kelly’s friends and was blown away by the amazing group of people they chose to affirm their marriage, seriously, quality people. You can imagine how excited I was when Aly contacted me about shooting her own wedding to Mark… to get to spend another day among such an awesome group of people was like a dream come true. These two are amazing, they are are not only gorgeous but caring (oh so caring) and relaxed. They have been focusing on the importance of marriage, not just a wedding and it is shining through each and every aspect of their wedding day plans. I am so thrilled to head to Wausau and shoot their wedding this Saturday, working with a couple like this is nothing short of an honor. 1.) How did you two meet?
Our two best friends in high school set us up when we were both visiting them at college. We hit it off and the rest is history! (Thanks Whitney and Shawn!)
2.) How has your wedding planning experience been?
After having some trouble pinning down our venue, wedding planning after that has been a breeze! We have some hectic days ahead, but we’re trying to have fun with it!
3.) What are you most looking forward to about your big day?
We are most looking forward to being married!! But as far as the day goes, we are both most excited about our cocktail hour outside. Weather permitting—so pray for sunshine!!
4.) What advice do you have for soon to be brides?
My best advice is: don’t stress every little decision. Go with your gut and don’t look back!
5.) What was your favorite thing about your engagement session or experience with Jenna?
Our favorite thing about our engagement session with Jenna was that it felt just like hanging out with an old friend for the day! She just kept things really lighthearted and we had so much fun!!
6.) In a few sentences describe your wedding day vision or theme?
Our wedding day vision is all of our family and friends having fun and celebrating!
