We all went to UWSP and were all athletes. There’s something about a college like that where the athletes have a deep respect for one another because you know of the time, talent, and commitment it takes to show up every day when you’d rather sleep in. Michelle was an amazing golfer, Creighton, an awesome hockey player and I was lucky enough to know them both in different capacities before they became a couple. Nothing makes me happier than when I get to reconnect with friends and photograph them (well, naps make me pretty happy too, but this still trumps sleeping!)
Back when he was a kid, his grandpa won a free plane ride at a fair and he took Creighton along. At the age of 3 he had officially fallen in love with flying! Creighton got his pilots license before he could even drive a car. He now works in aviation at Garmin and he and Michelle are so thankful for their plane that makes it feel like they aren’t too far from home. They often hop in the plane with their two sweet dogs and fly around the country for weekends away. A few weeks back they flew to Wisconsin just for their engagement session. The sun set behind them right before they took off and I pinched myself over how lucky I am to have such incredible, gorgeous, freaking fantastic clients in my life that will go any height to make magic happen (pun intended, it’s Monday, I need more coffee.)
