Once a month I want to tune in and answer YOUR biggest questions! Each week I get hundreds of questions all over social media and while I wish I could dedicate full shows to your questions, a lot of times the responses are brief. That’s why we are introducing the “Ask Jenna Anything” into the show each month so that I can answer your questions, give you a behind the scenes look into my life, marriage, home, fashion and of course mac and cheese recipes and connect with you, the listeners. If you have a question you’d love answered, join our Goal Digger Podcast Insiders group on Facebook and once a month you can share your biggest questions and maybe I’ll answer it (and mention you!) on the show!
Questions answered on the show:
Jennifer Pierce: One question I have for you is how do you navigate doubters of your dream when they are close people in your life?
Eva Garmendia: What was your sleeping schedule when you started vs how is it now? I feel like a lot of us that try to make something special leave health and sleep behind!!
Lindsey Pennell: How do you form relationships with your clients that will last over the years, keep them coming back to photograph future life events, and give your name to everyone they know?
Alicia Brose and Ashley Shackow: If you could go back and tell your 22 year old self one thing, what would it be?
Athena and Elizabeth Mason: I’m worried about the “next phase” of my career. I’m almost 40 and although I LOVE what I do and I don’t see an end too close in sight, I do think about what’s next when I can’t haul gear, work 12 hours straight shooting and be on my game energy wise. What do most retired wedding photographers do? What are some options? What is the average age of retirement for us girls?
Molly Killoran: How has your transition as a couple been to both working from home? I know you had your hubby on an episode and spoke about this but can we get an update? Especially with you switching to working in an office now, was this prompted by this transition?
Monica Bergs: Why did you decide to keep your personal/business/crafty things all under one Instagram account?
Jannah Alexander: I am feeling super sad because this is my first year of wedding photography and I only have 5 weddings. When I hear that you or other photographers shoot 20+ in your first year, it makes me feel a bit defeated. Any words of encouragement for where I am right now?
Jessica Fennell: What are your favorite books? Both fiction and business/self development. What podcasts do you listen to? Who inspires you? Aside from your classes, can you recommend any good classes or masterclasses for us to look into?
Natasha Brown: How do you keep yourself motivated as a creative? And if so, are there ever moments where you want to walk away from what you are doing?
Tonja Hort: Although you outsource your editing, I would love to hear how you work to cull images, and how the editing process works for you (if you were to edit the wedding)!
Sara Martin: What is it like to be married to a personal trainer/health coach? Does Drew ever try to push anything on you? Asking because I’m a health/fitness coach but my husband does not like working out with me // If you were to write a book, what would it focus on?
Adrienne Beel: How do you recommend reaching out to companies I’d love to work with when I am just starting and not getting a ton of traffic yet?
Nicolette Fernandez: How did you (do you) organize the seemingly endless to do list and prioritize what needs to get done to move your business forward?
Meredith Davis: How do you and other photographers get all these consistently amazing photos of yourself to share throughout your media?! Are you collabbing with friends or did you just teach your husband what to do?!
Kelli Campbell: If you had to have any other career, what would it be?
Katie Beech: Girl I honestly just want to know what your #1 recommended mac-n-cheese recipe is.
Thank you so much for answering my question! It made my day completely. You are the best! <3
I wish I could figure out a way to capture that one question to be able to listen to anytime I am down!
Candid moment ::: I’ve listened to so many of your podcasts in the past two weeks, and they’ve sparked a fire in me that I was lacking. Thank you for sharing your story, for providing support, for being who you are and encouraging other beautiful women to do the same. And, yes – your podcasts DO make a difference.
Thank you!
Thanks. Needed that!
I loved this episode! Looking forward to more ‘Ask Jenna Anything’ episodes in the future. =)
