Dear Universe,
Sometimes I feel that when I tell you the things I dream of, the adventures I want to take, and the goals I have for myself, you orchestrate with God these divine interventions that leave my jaw on the floor and thankfulness in my heart. I want to put it all out there, five fun goals that I hope you can have a hand in making happen this year. I will be forever grateful, because even when just you put your dreams out on the table – they suddenly sound like real possibilities. I will forever live on the chance of possibility, that is a beautiful place to live. In case you missed my post last week about the importance of sharing your dreams and throwing them out into the world, click: here. If you are up to speed, proceed with cautions: lofty dreams lie ahead.
Here are five things I am throwing out into the world, let’s make them happen… yes:
1.) Photograph in the mountains: Colorado? California? I want to get into the mountains, shoot in the fields, soak in the gorgeous scenery and tell a beautiful love story on top of the world. Please? Pretty please? I just need to get to something other than flat fields and snow flurries…
2.) Shoot elderly lifestyle sessions: I want to sit in the presence of a couple who is still so in love after many years. I want to photograph their lives, their stories, their routines. I want to listen to their lives and to showcase how beautiful their love is, years and years after “I do” and experience. That is a love story I am eager to tell…
3.) Tell stories through video: I have fallen in love with shooting video! I know I am not a pro, nor do I claim to be. I want to capture the movement of life, shoot fun projects, and show life in motion often. I want to learn and challenge myself into a new medium of story telling. I want to tell stories through fusion, just for fun. Perhaps engagement stories?
4.) City Hall Wedding: Not every wedding is prepped for months on end, not every wedding has a band and a dance and a seated dinner. I want to shoot an elopement or a City Hall wedding, I want to tell that beautiful story of a guy and a gal who are so in love that they just can’t wait. That in the middle of the week they want to promise their forevers and celebrate in a different way. I want to be there for that one…
5.) Mission: I want to go on a mission trip of sorts and document it. The dream? Go with TOMS to deliver the shoes and to tell the stories of the individuals who receive them. I want to go on a giving trip so so bad, so TOMS, call me… I am your girl and I rep your gear… all of the darn time. Seriously, dream.
Alright Universe, your little daily emails make me believe that you know the desires of my heart and that you are utterly genius. Let’s make these little dreams come to fruition. A little hard work, a few unicorns, some pixie dust, and prayers… I have faith we can do this. Let’s get out there. And couples, if you are reading this and want to make any of these happen – let’s do it. You know I’m your girl, so give me a call.
Love,
Me
I will make my 5 goals today and join you! Thanks for the inspiration! And TOMS contact Jenna! Whoot whoot!
These are some fun goals, Jenna! No doubt you’ll achieve them all!
i love the idea of doing this for a blog post and I think i’m gonna 🙂 Your dreams are similar to my dreams except I want away from the mountains and more in the vicinity of tropical beaches 😛 Can’t wait to watch your dreams come true!
I definitely need to get my five out there too! Future blog post coming. I think a few of our 5 are the same as well :). Thanks for sharing!
This is great list Jenna! May all of them come true in 2013 🙂
Love these! Don’t worry, the universe delivers. I love this quote – “if you want something bad enough the Universe conspires to make it happen” – yeah!
If you get a wedding in the mountains, I am totally tagging along….That is one of my dreams too..the scenery would be absolutely stunning!!
Perfect! I love this idea, and I am definitely going to make this list. Also, you make me realize how lucky I am to have shot a couple City Hall weddings here in Toronto 🙂 Thank you!
Good luck Jenna! I hope you can accomplish them all!
You have great ideas for blog posts and for life. My favorite one is the elopement. My niece did that and I wished that she had some great images from it.
