“People Need To Realize That There Are ‘Riches in the Niches'”
Wow, wow, wow. This episode… this woman.
Chances are, you are probably following the incredible Lauryn Evarts, AKA “The Skinny Confidential” on some (or all) forms of social media.
Lauryn is an absolute powerhouse– she is an avid blogger, irreplaceable social media influencer, youtube star, podcaster, and a true businesswoman. Evarts is the epitome of someone who saw a void in the world and did everything she could to fill it.
Lauryn’s “The Skinny Confidential” is a lifestyle brand that is focused on health, beauty, and wellness for the busy girl. Fast forward, she has created an irreplaceable brand and mission in the process. Today Lauryn is letting us in on how you can find your niche and own it.
PAY ATTENTION:
This one sounds simple, but it truly is a fundamental piece of finding your niche that often gets overlooked. I’m asking you to pay attention– to notice what lights your fire and what drains you. For Lauryn, it was beauty- because she honed in on this and capitalized on it, she created a powerhouse brand that she has so much passion behind.
BE INTENTIONAL (and patient!)
Lauryn mentioned how she absolutely dove into her vision, but she waited almost a year to “launch” her blog because she wanted to make sure it was perfect. She knew from the get-go that she wanted to be a brand, not a business. I cannot say enough how revolutionary this is; giving yourself a foundation based on YOU is 1) memorable 2) flexible and 3) profitable!
If you are reading this, I urge you to write down your biggest goals and ask yourself if it is maintainable, if it is versatile, and if you would 100% love it in 10 years. If not, you may want to take Lauryn’s guidance and take your one-note passions and combine them into a brand.
NICHE it up!
I cannot say it enough: find your niche and own it. Lauryn kept mentioning establishing your niche and dream audience and then worrying about growing outward. We both agreed that it is so important to establish who you are serving and what you are providing early on and absolutely owning it.
“The riches are in the niches” and you truly need to hold tight to the truth that you can’t appeal to everyone– so really invest in the people that are drawn to you. You have to know how to speak to them so directly that they can’t ignore you. In summary: Niche, niche, niche! Define your mission, make it unforgettable, find your tribe, and the growth will take care of itself.
If you are someone that feels like you are multi passionate and having a difficult time honing in on your mission, this episode is tailor-made for YOU.
“Patience is so under-rated. You just have to slowly chip away- every. day. and live your life with intention.”
