Slow and steady, it’s been their mantra. Slow and steady, wins the race. Well, on Saturday the race was won when Steve married Amanda and all was right in the world. After six years together, these two knew they had to plan one hell of a party to celebrate their love and the start of their marriage! Boy, did they do that! Every aspect of their day was unique from the dresses that Amanda made for not only herself but her bridesmaids to the fun accessories that took the place of traditional flowers. (There wasn’t a single flower at this wedding and it was AWESOME!) They are obsessed with music, shows are their thing, and they infused that love into each aspect of their wedding day from the cd themed invites to the mix tapes as favors to the live music and epic dancing that ended the night. Their whole day was laid back, filled with originality, fun, laughs, and tears, follow up with an epic dance party to the sounds of the UW Marching Band and the tunes of This Must Be The Band. I set my camera aside when the work was done and Drew joined me to dance and celebrate until the bitter end and enjoy a glass of champagne while being surrounded by Steve and Amanda’s incredible friends and family. What a close to a season, what a way to end. Slow and steady really does win the race and on Saturday, we were all winners together. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Jennings, you two are flawless.
