It all started on Friday night with a beautiful boat cruise on the Lake. I started to watch Drew and Katie’s relationship unfold and as he looked into her eyes and proudly proclaimed how beautiful she was and how excited he was to marry her, I knew that their wedding day would be a beautiful reflection of the love that was on display. Their wedding day in Lake Geneva was nothing short of a showstopper. The overcast skies cast the most beautiful light on these two as they waltzed through their fleeting wedding day. It was one of those days where you cling to every minute, promise to remember every detail, and hope that each and every image will be a time machine strong enough to relive the day over and over and over again.
He proposed in the most beautiful place he could imagine: Provence, France. The day (and maybe his nerves) had gotten away from him so by the time he finally asked her to be his wife, it was 11PM and pitch black outside. Thankfully, she said yes and yesterday we celebrated with the most beautiful Wisconsin wedding day on the lake with Katie and Drew. Maybe it was the gentle hand squeezes or the way he couldn’t stop telling her how beautiful she was, maybe it was the fact that she proclaimed time and time again how she was the happiest girl in the world, maybe it was the way all of the little details came together or maybe, just maybe it was the fact that they planned a marriage even more beautiful than their wedding day. Whatever it was, their day was simply perfect.
