A week ago, I took my very first trip up to the Northwoods to capture Brooke + Nate’s backyard Manitowash Waters wedding. And when I say “backyard”, I don’t mean your average backyard. Brooke grew up spending summers up in Mantiowish Waters and attending/staffing a summer camp. After moving out to Colorado to attend college, Brooke’s parents eventually moved up to the Northwoods to settle down. When Brooke met Nate in college and decided to get married, it was an easy decision as to where they would host their wedding!

The ceremony location was just about as picturesque as you could imagine a northern Wisconsin wedding to be. A cozy cabin tucked away in the tall pine trees and Manitowish Lake glistening in the background as Brooke and Nate vowed to love each other forever. Guests were transferred to and from the ceremony and reception location by pontoon boats and the reception was every bit as beautiful as it was emotional! From the perfect weather, the gorgeous location, and even the cheese curds on the salad, it was a true Wisconsin experience for myself and for all of the out of state guests who joined in the celebration of Brooke and Nate’s marriage! Despite how beautiful and amazing the wedding was, the love these two share completely outweighs every ounce of beauty that the wedding day held and I know that their marriage will be just as beautiful as they are!  – Courtney, JK Associate
