What a way to kick off the new year! Toes in the sand and a smile on my face. It was such an incredible honor to share in Jessi and Blake’s wedding day in sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico. Destination weddings might be my favorite thing in the world because they mix my love of travel and photography. I get a big lump in my throat when I think of their wedding day, from start to finish it was absolutely perfect (even with torrential downpours!) The location was ideal, a beautiful mix of historic buildings and sandy beaches, perfect for this couple who loves adventures and traveling the world.
Blake and Jessi had 35 guests who flew from all over the world to share in their wedding day, surrounded by the closest of friends and family and with the well wishes from those afar, they said their vows overlooking the ocean with a beautiful heartfelt ceremony led by Blake’s aunt. Old San Juan provided the most colorful and picturesque setting for Jessi and Blake’s wedding day portraits, I was literally in a windy heaven amidst all of the color and texture. After rain made everything move to plan B, the party continued in the hotel with an authentic Puerto Rican dinner and one of the most epic dance parties I have ever experienced. What an amazing start to a busy 2014 season, Jessi and Blake: your love is one that encourages others to love more, you two are the perfect fit and a stunning couple in so many ways.

Oh my gosh Blake & Jessi – it was so beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes while I watched it. I am so happy for you both and what a wonderful life you will have together.
