“All I have seen teaches me to trust the creator for all I have not seen.”
Almost exactly a year ago I spent some time with this precious couple and their four children. The kids showed me around their home with glee and played each instrument as my mom and I sat and watched. Ben and Angie are an incredible couple who have some of the strongest faith I have ever encountered. It was one of those sessions you will never, ever forget. It struck a cord so deep in my being that my mom and I drove silently home just counting our blessing and praying for this sweet family, wishing there was more we could do. I think of the time we spent together often and recently reached out to Angie to see how they were all doing. She responded with a cheerful response even in the face of some crazy struggles that a lot of us can’t even fathom. “We still try to live each day to its fullest.” While others are focusing on trivial things during this holiday season, this family is fighting for Ben’s health, a fight that they have been going through for the past three years.
They were high school sweethearts, went to prom together, and after school said “I do” to forever as husband and wife. They started their family together, built a home, and a business. Four loving, talented, sweet, and adorable kids later their family of six was complete. Three years ago when seizures started for Ben, they worried what was causing them. The day before Christmas they received news that Ben had a fairly large brain tumor that was causing the seizures. As this family continues to battle Ben’s illness and prognosis, they band together in their faith, a faith so strong it brings me to tears. I woke up this morning to see that Ben has had another health setback and will be in an intensive surgery tomorrow as his brain tumor has grown. Christmas has already been a tough time for this family, so I am asking to please, please pray for Ben and Angie and their children during this time.

I read this update on his brother’s facebook page this morning when I woke up:
Please pray for my brother Ben Anderson…he has suffered a major setback in his fight against a cancerous brain tumor! We found out that the tumor has grown and he needs surgery! This will happen this Friday morning around 11ish. This is a very risky surgery with many potential complications! Prayers for the doctors and staff…Ben and Angie Anderson and their 4 amazing children would be so much appreciated!
As his older brother I look up to him as someone who has shown such faith and love during this time…same with his wife! They are truly amazing people and you should all know this! God bless you all…Merry Christmas and thank you so much for all your prayers, thoughts and well wishes! God is still good!

Praying now…
I too have been praying virtually all day for Ben, Angie and their family. On my way to Carlton today I glanced at the time and it was 10 to 11 and I prayed for the surgeons, and for Ben, Angie and family to endure this difficult time with the prayers of everyone holding them up!! On my way home, I prayed for them, wondering about the surgery and again that the family will continue to be held up in Jesus arms as they go through this time. I feel most every moment I can I send them up in prayer.
