From the beaches of Hawaii to the snowdrifts of northern Minnesota, this year held a lot of memories, most of which happened at home. We explored our own backyard, left window smudges from our noses as we watched the seasons change, and spent quality time together as we adjusted to a new normal. We hiked and biked, walked and ran along the shores of Lake Superior and said our prayers every night. This was a year of high highs and low lows, it was a year of awakening and change, and it was also a year where we watched our baby become a little girl and where we dreamed of the type of world we want for her to grow in.
2020, you’re one for the record books in so many ways but when I think of you, I hope I picture these little micro-moments of pure joy.
