This shoot was one of those “pinch me” moments because it was a long time in the making! Being a gymnast most of my childhood, Carly was one of those gals you only wished was your best friend. An Olympic gold medalist with a smile that can light up any room, she has made America proud countless times! After Carly and Mark had gotten engaged nearly two years ago, I tweeted at Carly asking her if she needed a wedding photographer who could do back handsprings… the rest is history (well, sort of!) We start messaging each other, texting, and throwing the occasional tweet at one another. I was so honored when Carly told me she wanted to do a one year anniversary session (a tradition Drew and I have) and fly me down to Dallas, Texas! I flew down south where Carly picked me up from the airport and we caught up like old friends over Chick Fil A! I laid in her bed with her huge fluffy pup, Beaugart, while she got ready and we wandered around their gorgeous new home for photos… this is part one of their session because there were just too many good ones to narrow down to a single post.
