So hold on to me tight. Hold on, I promise it will be alright. We are stronger here together, than we could ever be alone.
It was one of those days where you held your breath because everything was unfolding just as it should. The sun was shining, the Duluth weather was brisk but perfect, everyone was ready. The hair was done, make up applied, ballroom set… it was all just so perfect. When Alaina slipped into her dress, I looked around the room as everyone was blinking back tears (myself included.) She was absolutely stunning… and was about to meet her future husband in the rose garden before the celebrations began. As I saw my friend Joe enjoying the Duluth views, I could tell he was ready… ready to celebrate, to get married, to spend his day with his beautiful bride.
The whole day was gone in a blink of an eye but I basked in the remains of it as I drove home… sand in my shoes, blisters on my feet, and the biggest smile across my face. Joe + Alaina’s day was one that seemed surreal, the kind you float through, and bask in every moment. From walking the sandy beaches to executing a perfect pyramid of groomsmen, to a wild Chinese fire drill while stuck on Park Point, each day was filled with so much love and fun… it was seriously incredible. Watching my two sweet friends get married and spending the day with their friends and family was truly an honor. I still can’t stop smiling… seriously.
