If you know me at all, you will know that I am a big fan of Instagram. There is something so fun about the app that keeps me visually stimulated and challenged on a daily basis. As a photographer, it is important to always be producing art and for me Instagram is a selfish pleasure and way to create something on a daily basis at the touch of a finger. My husband yells at me at least once a day when he catches me taking photos of our house plant, mailbox, dogs, or shoes… he hates when he see my photographer face come on as I become determined to create something great. It’s hilarious actually but I really think Instagram is a way to welcome the world into our everyday lives whether or not they are glamorous. When I think of my camera roll on my phone, I realize that it holds the essence of life: the little things that I see are beautiful on the daily and for that I am in love.
I challenge myself to post something every single day, to force myself out of the funk of starring at a screen and to look beyond the simple things. Life is found in the little things, it always has been and always will be. So here is a little peek into my life through my iPhone… even in the thick of wedding season, I am still seeing beautiful things everyday and this is where I choose to share them.
