We were standing under this awning in downtown Beloit with lights strung left and right when I said, “Oh man, look at those cafe lights, it would be so cool if they were on…” and just like that, they turned on. I feel life is a lot like that sometimes. We’re walking and wishing but not even knowing that we might be in the absence of light – once it’s turned on, you can’t imagine life another way, without that brightness, that warmth.
I imagine that might be a little like Chris and Nicole’s story, each walking through life happy and healthy, waiting patiently for that person who could bring in that light that they couldn’t imagine ever being without again. These two will be getting married in 2017 and the countdown is on. In the mean time, they will just let their lights shine and bask in the glow…
