We met when we were tiny little girls wearing velvet leotards and scrunchies and doing flips like it was our job. Over years and years of spending every night together in a chalky gym, Jessi became one of my dearest friends. From sleepover parties to weekends traveling for meets, we grew up together and grew out of our leotards (sadly) after many hours spent together in that gym. We all grew up, moved away, went to school, and fell in love… but we all stayed closer than ever. Jessi and Blake have spent years together throughout college and beyond, when Blake asked Jessi to be his wife, we were all so excited. When you spend time with the two of them, you can’t help but smile. They radiate positive energy and are both extremely laid back, adventuresome, and beautiful individuals. When they asked that I photograph their destination wedding next year, I screamed… not like a little girly scream, but the kind where your eyes start to water and you run around because words won’t express what you are feeling. I am so so honored to tell a love story as beautiful as theirs on the sunny beaches of San Juan. Seeing your best friend so in love with such an incredible man has to be one of the greatest gifts of my job…
