I started speaking with Ashley, Erin’s friend before I was ever put in touch with her. You see, Erin was planning a wedding, everything was falling into place except one small thing. She was still waiting for her love, Alex, to propose. Erin didn’t want to come across as an eager bride-to-be, and so together Ashley and I started to plan their wedding day while we waited for a sparkly addition in Erin’s life. Well, to say the wait was worth it would be an understatement. Alex planned a beautiful proposal with a beautiful ring and shocked Erin with their friends and family waiting to celebrate. Then, we got into planning mode. Erin has always loved fall (almost as much as she loves Alex.) She loves when the air gets crisp, the leaves change, the light shifts, and all is right in the world. It only makes sense that their wedding day was the most beautiful fall day October had ever seen. The sun was shining, the lake was calm, and everyone was excited for Alex and Erin to finally get married.

Alex and Erin have such a beautiful story of love and loss that led them to one another. They connected under poor circumstances when they were both in the hospital waiting room where Alex’s beloved grandma was under care and sadly, passed. Erin was there for Alex as he grieved such an important woman and I’ve been told that Erin has a lot of his grandmother’s amazing qualities. These two were made for each other. Erin adds the excitement, eagerness, fun while Alex is a balance with meaningful words, a relaxed attitude, and a genuine warmth. Together with their amazing friends and families they had their perfect day in Lake Geneva that included a stunning ceremony at The Abbey, a beautiful boat ride to the Rivera, and a reception that packed the dance floor and left everyone out celebrating the gorgeous October weather. What a serious joy to capture such special moments for an incredible pair. (I also shot video of their day, so stay tuned for that fun coming soon!)
