I am super excited about this shift and can’t wait to hear what you think!

I truly believe branding yourself and your business well is the single most impactful thing you can do for growth, but I know it can be confusing and frustrating at times. Which is exactly why I am so excited to dig through your “Ask Jenna Anything” branding-related questions and go through a crash course in Jenna Kutcher branding 101! Let’s do it!

To Hear The Answers To These Questions Below, Tune In Here!

Margaret S: How to market yourself without feeling like you’re being pushy/bragging/ too aggressive?

Rachel W: How do you create so many unique domains for your different downloads and other offerings?

Sydney Jade Creative: would love to know how to share my story/ create engaging content that attracts my tribe. How can I write killer copy like you do to share your story, Jenna?!

Lazel Farm: Would love to learn more about storytelling for your website, connecting with clients, and being your true self. I can’t seem to make the connection to being more authentic online. How do you make the jump from being stiff to more authentic online

Alexis R: How do you feel about stock photos for blog posts? Are they valuable or cheesy?

Mary B: My question: I have a blog, coaching program, an small online Shopify store…and am researching starting a podcast. They are all “mine” under my husband and my name. Question, all three are not branded the same…is it too confusing and not “niche” enough?

Emily D: you talk about marketing to your ideal client. But what about when your business is new needs to grow/build clientele? Should we start with marketing broadly and then narrow down marketing when the business is more established?

Melissa M: I would love to learn more about branding and search engine optimization! It’s like a foreign language… what’s the most important steps? Is there someone you know who rocks with this? Would love to hear more on this!

Serena P: I’m just unsure of how to start and how to find my voice. I don’t really know what my “Jenna 5” would be, how do I find that?

Carolyn M: I am currently running two separate social media accounts. One for business, one personal. I don’t think I want to merge the accounts, but I’m struggling with how much personal to share on my business account to make me personable yet protect privacy. How do you decide how much of “you” to share while still maintaining a healthy level of privacy?

  1. Lindsay says:

I loved this episode, it was so helpful! I have a question for you, something that I can’t decided on because I don’t know what the best move is. I’ve grown a following over the years just organically by sharing my family, blogging and a little bit of collabs here and there. About a year and a half ago I decided that I’m no longer sharing my kids out of respect for them and their privacy. Problem is my engagement is highest when they’re involved in my posts. I would love to share my other passions and photo biz instead but I feel weird going from mom “blogger” (that’s not me at all) to who I actually am because I feel like I’m flipping a switch on everyone. Should I start over (I have about 10+k right now) so that my audience knows what I’m about from the beginning or just be honest with my current followers and tell them what’s going on?

    • Hey Lindsay! Great question! I would not start over, and would just start fresh on your feed from here. People can unfollow if they’d like but I wouldn’t make that decision for them by starting from zero!

  2. Nina says:

    Dear Jenna,

Thank you as always for your amazing shows! I love listening to them on my morning walk, my runs, and when I go food shopping 🙂 I also have a question which came up while listening to this episode:

I already have a private instagram account but want to start being online on instagram with my business. Would you recommend to just use my private one and make that into the business one all with the Jenna 5 implemented? Or should I make an entirely new one? I hope you get around to answering this because I am really unsure! Have a lovely Monday!

    Nina

    • Hey Nina! It’s a personal decision, but I have chosen to use my personal account for my business and share about my life and my “JK 5” there. There are of course reasons to keep a private account, but I find having one account that I’m active on where I show up works best for my business!

  3. Salome says:

Hello Jenna, I just listened to my first podcast today and I love it. It was so helpful for someone who is starting like me. It is so empowering and I feel like I can do it. Quit my 9-5 and create my own. I was wondering how can I find a mentor. I have been finding it pretty hard. I feel like some people in FB groups are afraid to reveal their secrets.
    Thank you in advance

  4. Sarah says:

    Hello,

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences it’s very inspirational and motivating.

Quick question. Do you find it’s important to have a professional photographer take photos for your posts so the look and feel is more cohesive? Or something equivalent to using the same filter for all photos?

    Thank you again!
