I wore them on my wedding day almost five years ago but little did I know years later, I would teaming up with a company so near and dear to my heart: TOMS! When they approached me about being featured for their “Traveling TOMS” features, I jumped at the chance… mostly, because it was easy. Say what? I genuinely wear TOMS in my life, everyday. As I pulled images for their post, I saw myself in California, Italy, Paris, Hawaii, Chicago with TOMS gear proudly repped. I could probably write a love letter to them and their mission, but instead, I’ll fill you in a little bit on what they do and then I’ll send you on over to their feature!
For every pair purchased, one pair is given. To date, TOMS has given over 60 million pairs of new shoes to kiddos in need! 60 MILLION? That’s insane! They expanded from just shoes to eye glasses, water, birthing kits and more. So when you purchase eyewear, someone in need gets glasses, when you purchase a bag, someone in need gets access to a birthing kit. It’s pretty incredible, really. Sporting my TOMS has become second nature (just last week in Austin I packed two pairs of shoes, two pairs of sunglasses, and packed my duffel bag tight… that’s two pairs of shoes, glasses, and a birthing kit donated. Cool!)
