I don’t even know where to begin with words about this day. You see, Ashlan and I go way back (like back to braces and awkward glasses, way back.) We became friends in fifth grade and went through school together with countless slumber parties, study dates, and high school proms together. Over the years she has travelled the country (with the love of her life, Jason) and though the time we get to spend together is often fleeting, we revert back to our twelve year old selves in no time. When Ashlan and Jason asked me to be a part of their day, I wanted to let out a resounding “YES!” because I was so excited! A few years ago, Ashlan left our hometown in Minnesota to move down to Jacksonville and try something new. While away she met a handsome Navy man who happened to steal her heart. There really aren’t words to describe how amazing Jason is. He is an All-American sort of guy. Not only does he serve our country, he has a heart of gold, the drive of a champion, and a heart of gold. He is absolutely smitten with the gorgeous Ashlan and just seeing the way he looks are her made everyone weak in the knees.

The day started at Ashlan’s parents home as Mollie Kae beautified the ladies and everyone got ready! After a beautiful service at Ashlan’s home church of Queen of Peace, we skirted the rain and ventured into the woods for some beautiful bridal party photos. After a quick celebratory drink (and some dancing) the wedding party and the newlyweds headed to the cocktail hour held in Ashlan’s childhood home! Underneath a beautiful tent, guests enjoyed drinks, a delicious dinner, wonderful speeches, and dancing! I stayed until the bitter end as I watched one of my best friends on one of the happiest days of her life. She was absolutely glowing and the love between Ashlan and Jason was something that felt contagious! I am always so honored to be able to spend a wedding day with a bride and groom but tying in such precious relationships was the icing on the cake! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Coyne! I can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
