Today I’m sharing the secrets behind my content creation process and I’m talking about how you can create a content creation schedule that you can actually stick to. We all know it’s all about the content, so let’s get you started on some routines that will have you creating content you love, in no time!
SHOW NOTES
“Be consistent. You have to let people know when to expect new content and when they can show up and what you are going to be serving them.” (7:15)
“Never create and publish in the same day” (9:30)
“If you are coming at your work from a place of stress, chances are it is not a exemplary of who you are or you’re potential to create awesome stuff” (10:00)
“Batching working is so important; it is a really awesome way to just be efficient with your time and make sure you are spending your time in the zone.” (12:54)
“There is nothing worse than forcing out content when your brain feels like mush; I have been there.” (15:17)
“Remember that the world will not crumble if you aren’t publishing exactly on time or if you miss a day because you are sick. Remember to give yourself grace.” (16:50)
“If you are running your business right now from a place of fear or a place of guilt, you have to stop right now” (18:21)
“Focus on the mediums that you love the most (and) don’t force anything. Take your skills sets and gifting’s and use them to share content with the world.” (22:33)
“Connection is going to be that piece of the puzzle that makes people have to have you for your product or your service or you’re offering (27:38)
I loved this episode! As someone who is trying to grow their online store and whose thoughts are scattered all over the place I think this is a tool (guideline) that I can really put to great use. I’m excited to get organized and focused with my content. Thanks for sharing so many valuable business lessons.
I’m excited for you too Molly!
Wow, that was awesome, Jenna! Creating an actual plan & calendar for my content creation is something I’ve recently been trying to figure out how to do, and this was incredibly helpful! Thank you so much! <3
So glad it was helpful!
I went to goaldiggerpodcast.com to get the resource for this episode and it wasn’t there…I was redirected to the website. I would love to get this if possible. Thanks Jenna!
Hey girl! There’s a “click here to download” box at the top of the post! If that doesn’t work, email me at hello@jennakutcher.com and we’ll get you taken care of!
Girl, you have been in my ear for so many mornings recently and I just had to say thank you! Especially this podcast on the content calendar, amazing! Can’t wait to start planning.
YAY! Happy we could spend some time together 😉 Thanks for tuning in!
I am so thankful for the post, as well as all of the other post and podcast! I have shared this with friends countless times because it is so fun, practical, and I feel like I can actually do this! I def didn’t have any kind of plan or content calendar in place before, so I am pumped to get started!
Corina, thanks for your sweet words! I can’t wait to see what you do with the information!
This was just what I needed at the perfect time! I’ve never been a listener of podcasts until recently, and I’m so glad you started one because it’s a new favorite of mine! I love getting to hear your awesome content while driving or cooking or whatever I’m doing! This episode felt like I was sitting face to face with you getting a personal coaching session. So awesome!
That’s amazing Rebecca! Thanks for tuning in!
Hey Jenna, I LOVED this episode! My biggest question I had after listening to it is what kind of planning calendar do you use to schedule your content? Do you use a hard-copy calendar or an online calendar? What do you find works best for you? Struggling with where to create this calendar. Thanks!
Hey Samantha! Caitlyn from Jenna’s team here! Jenna starts with a hard copy and then we work her content calendar into our google calendar and Trello calendar to work on as a team! Hope that helps!
This is one of my favorite episodes of yours! I’m a quilter from India and I recently started coaching Women Entrepreneurs who run home based businesses in towns around mine! Your podcast has been one of the most helpful ones to me. I found it while listening to something else and loved the episode so much, I started listening from the beginning. All the time while I’m cooking its your voice coaching me in my business! I love how open you are with your knowledge since not all are in a stage in life where they can afford valuable but expensive one-on-one mentoring!!! I am building a brand new website for myself (I almost finished it before starting over again after listening to your post about mistakes on website) and your podcasts are my inspiration!!! Thank you so much and hugs from the other side of the world!!!
Simply said, I loveyou!
Just finished this episode. Makes me so happy! With two young kids and all kinds of things to take care of, I seriously need some routines, especially around my content. Finally feel like I have a great place to start!
Seriously needed this today! I’ve been stewing over this for the last two weeks – hard. I stumbled across the link on Pinterest. #fate. So many great tips. I can’t wait to get started – ahead of time! 😀
Thank you ! Perfect for staying organized and be inspired!!
