Hey friend, can I guess something about you?
You didn’t start your business to be glued to your phone, stuck in a loop of launches and hustle with no breathing room. You didn’t dream of spinning your wheels, wondering if you’ll be able to pay yourself this month, again.
You started this because you had something on your heart to offer: a message, a gift, a transformation. But somewhere along the way, it started feeling more like a full-time content creation job, and less like the life-first business you were envisioning.
If you’ve ever whispered, “I just want this to start working…” this episode is for you.
Today, I’m going to walk you through five paths to creating reliable, monthly income in your business. The kind that doesn’t depend on posting daily, going viral, or doing another exhausting launch.
And I’m also going to tell you what’s worked best for me and for so many other entrepreneurs starting from scratch. The systems that turn scattered schedules and inconsistent paychecks into predictable income you can count on.
Because yes, it’s possible: you CAN have peace, profit, and purpose without more pressure! Let’s get into it.
1. Create Evergreen Digital Products
Evergreen simply means that your product can live on and be relevant long after you create it. Think: templates, presets, mini-courses, or even a $27 guide that solves one specific problem for your ideal client.
The beauty? You create it once and sell it many times over. And when paired with a simple freebie that attracts the right audience, these small offers can add up to consistent, reliable income while serving your people in a meaningful way.
2. Build Online Courses
This strategy is my personal favorite—it accounts for over half of my company’s revenue. Online courses allow you to scale your expertise, stop trading time for money, and expand your impact far beyond your geographic area.
Whether you teach photography, fitness, parenting, or even basket weaving (yes, that’s a real example!), there’s space for your knowledge. Online education is a trillion-dollar industry, and it’s one of the best ways to build sustainable monthly income.
3. Offer Monthly Retainers or Subscriptions
Recurring revenue brings stability in an unpredictable business world. Instead of only booking one-off projects, consider ways to work with clients on a monthly basis, whether that’s coaching, done-for-you services, or a membership model.
Payment plans for courses, subscription boxes, or even a small community membership can help you start each month already covering your baseline expenses.
4. Leverage Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing, when done with integrity, can become a powerful (and fun) income stream. You don’t have to create the product—you simply recommend the tools, services, and products you already use and love.
From software with recurring commissions to lifestyle products your audience will adore, affiliate marketing works best when you’re genuinely excited to share. Think of it like sending a recommendation text to your best friend—but with the added bonus of earning a commission.
5. Offer VIP Days or One-Day Intensives
Not every income stream has to be scalable. Sometimes a high-value, short-term offer can be exactly what you (and your clients) need.
A VIP day allows you to deliver massive results in less time, often at a higher price point, while giving you a predictable cash injection for the month.
6. Try a Hybrid Model
Blend live experiences with evergreen content. For example, host a live training, workshop, or bootcamp, then package the recordings and resources into a digital product you can continue selling.
This lets you test and refine in real time while creating an asset that lives on, and you know how much I love that!
7. Explore Rental Income
While not the right fit for everyone, rental income—whether it’s real estate, studio space, or even equipment—can become a stable piece of your income puzzle.
When considering this, think about the resources you already have that could serve others while helping you build more reliable revenue!
Common Misconceptions of Reliable Income
Reliable income isn’t about luck or being in the right place at the right time… it’s about creating, marketing, and refining an offer until it consistently delivers.
For me, reliable monthly income means I can run a business that launches just four times a year while still earning steadily in between. It means freedom to be present with my kids, to work in focused seasons, and to feel safe enough to experiment and get creative.
If I had stayed in a model where I only got paid when I showed up, motherhood would have looked entirely different for me. Building systems before I desperately needed them gave me freedom when life changed, and it’s the reason I can experience entrepreneurship and motherhood the way I do today.
Final Thoughts
Here’s the truth: passive income isn’t really passive. It takes intentional effort, testing, and iteration to build offers that consistently generate income. But once they’re set up, they can give you something priceless—freedom.
Reliable income has been the key that unlocked my creativity, my role as a present mom, and the kind of life I didn’t even know was possible when I first picked up a camera.
Whether your goal is covering your monthly bills or building a multi-six-figure business, these strategies can help you create the stability you crave.
