I’ll tell you one thing, it’s always better when we’re together.
She was his waitress, he ordered a sandwich from her… she messed up his order, but he was already hooked. He left her his business card, he had never done that before. She held on to it, usually she threw those away. He came back and gave her another shot to get his sandwich right… the rest? Well, that’s history. Lynnea was a bridesmaid in one of my weddings last summer and when she got in touch to let me know that she was engaged, I was so excited. Then she told me they were planning a wedding in four months and convinced me to add my 26th wedding to my calendar so that I could spend a Saturday afternoon in the park with her and Casey. Boy, I am glad I said yes, because their day was so incredibly refreshing.
They had a short and relaxed ceremony in the Congdon Gardens, they laughed, cried, and vowed to spend together side by side. Following the ceremony, the party went to Community Park for a day filled with great conversation, a pig roast, yard games, and dancing… shoes optional. It was a beautiful summer day on the lake and being surrounded by Casey and Lynnea’s friends and family felt second nature. Everyone was welcomed to come as they were, stay as long as they wanted, and to just celebrate! As they smiled and laughed their way through their wedding day, I knew that this was the perfect reflection of who they are… a perfectly planned, laid back, beautiful couple who would have a lifetime of happiness ahead of them. What started with a messed up sandwich, proved to be the beginning of one heck of a love story.
