I’ve learned a lot of lessons because of 2020 (we all have, haven’t we?), and one is the importance of continuing to support small businesses whenever and wherever I can.

While I do love a good Target run from time to time (who doesn’t?), I’m way more obsessed with small businesses who are living their dreams with incredible products and intentions. Plus, what could possibly be better than buying from a business and knowing that you could truly be making a difference in someone else’s life?

As a small business owner myself, I know that this past year or so has been scary for all of us. I, for one, am all about any chance I get to support women-owned small businesses and I’m ready to issue a challenge:

Let’s all promise to each other that we’re going to support small businesses in 2021 and beyond whenever we can, okay? Instead of just shopping on Small Business Saturday, let’s vow to be intentional about putting small businesses first.

How does that sound, friends? I’m so ready.

You probably have some small businesses that you already love and support anyways (so awesome). But, I wanted to share some truly incredible women-owned small businesses to keep on your radar this year (and forever)! With these, you won’t need to place any Amazon orders or Target runs anytime soon.

Whether you’re in the market for some new hair products, you’re looking for inspiring clothing to add to your wardrobe, or you’re searching for a new incredible cause to support, these women are where it’s at.

01. Amber Fillerup: dae

Amber Fillerup has been a longtime Insta follow of mine, and she has the most amazing hair you’ve ever seen. Truly, she is basically Rapunzel in real life. Her mission has always been to empower women to feel strong and beautiful with their hair, and her business, Dae, is meant to be simple and effective for all hair types and textures.

The line itself is based in Arizona, where Amber calls home, and the desert-inspired products smell insanely good and work so well. Also, it’s vegan, cruelty-free, AND free of sulfates, phthalates, and parabens… so you can trust that it’s good for you and everyone in your house.

My dae products are literally always stolen by Drew, and I can’t even be upset, because I GET it. They’re THAT good.

02. Ally Love: Love Squad

I make no secret of how obsessed I am with Ally Love, and her voice and inspiring messages are always flowing through our house when I’m on the Peloton bike. She is such a light and somehow manages to make every single one of my workouts with her an *actually* positive experience.

To be frank, I didn’t know if I’d ever truly love sweating on a spin bike… but she changed the game for me.

Ally started Love Squad around the idea that community is empowerment—and Love Squad uses conversations, workshops, and speaker series to create opportunities for educating, motivating, and inspiring people to create actual change. Yes, please!

She’s the most fantastic human! You can support Love Squad by joining in on events, shopping the *cutest* Love Squad merch, and signing up for workshops on anything from fertility to money to self-confidence.

03. Dre Thomas: Smile On Me

You guys, Dre Thomas is the freaking best. She’s an #AerieREAL Role Model with me, and I’ve been so incredibly inspired and motivated by her entire story. Her entire movement is everything I want to teach Coco, and everything I want every woman on the planet to know and understand. She puts it so well when she says, “we want to make sure that girls have a space to be safe in their authentic selves.”

Her organization, Smile On Me, is geared completely towards celebrating the power of girls by making sure that young girls in the NYC area have free hygiene products. In a world where menstruation can be taboo—especially when you’re a young girl just trying to make it through middle and high school unscathed—I can’t think of anything more important.

Dre’s company also provides another place for young women to be connected through their members-only club Homeroom, and it just makes me a little teary-eyed thinking of it. Add Smile On Me to your list of causes to donate to regularly, because there’s nothing more important than raising powerful little girls to be powerful women.

04. Kelly LeVeque: Be Well By Kelly

Kelly LeVeque is a holistic nutritionist and health coach to the stars, and is such a remarkable example of realistic, attainable, smart health that makes sense from a psychological AND physical perspective.

Seriously, though: she’s one of the only people I’ve ever followed that I feel comfortable taking actual health advice from, because she knows what she’s talking about. Also, those #fabfour smoothies of hers… fire.

For a long time, Kelly’s advice was open to everyone with her two incredible books. But, she also recently started selling delicious and truly healthy protein powders. They’re a great addition to anyone looking for an added boost without all of the nasty stuff that can be in protein powders at the grocery store. Plus, you can trust them since they’re from her! You can also grab a spot in one of her courses, which gives you a deep dive into her philosophy around eating real food.

05. Radhi Devlukia-Shetty

You guys. Radhi Devlukia-Shetty is a force to be reckoned with, let me tell ya. First off, if you’re not following her on Instagram, minimize this and go do that now! She is unbelievably talented and fun, and is an Ayurveda expert, a plant-based recipe queen, and a lifestyle expert on everything from conscious cooking to living with intention.

Follow along with her blog, her YouTube channel, and literally everything else for insanely good recipes that nourish your body from the inside out, for tips to help bring consciousness to your nutrition and your body, and for valuable, actionable resources towards mental health.

06. Mattie James

Mattie James is a lifestyle powerhouse, lemme tell ya. She’s a blogger, podcaster, businesswoman, AND mama. So, basically, she’s my kinda girl! Mattie teaches influencers with her accelerator and masterclasses and also has a shop with some of my favorite ever mugs. Her motto? To make everyday magic.

Follow Mattie on Instagram, read her lifestyle blog, and then learn from her! She teaches women how to build 6-figure businesses, and does it soooo well. If you’ve ever wondered how to pitch brands and get the money you deserve, she’s what you’ve been waiting for. I promise.

07. Jamie Kern Lima: IT Cosmetics

Has IT Cosmetics been in your makeup bag for YEARS? That’s Jamie Kern Lima, my friends! She bootstrapped IT to become a billion-dollar business, which is the. dream. The little business she started trying to heal her rosacea has become one of the biggest in the country. GOALS. She’s now the author of Believe IT, which teaches women to become unstoppable, just like her.

Essentially, she’s everything.

Order her book and absorb all of her lessons, and you’ll be on track to saying goodbye to self-doubt. Plus, there’s no better time than today to read more books from powerful women.

These ladies are all firecrackers and killer businesswomen, and they’re perfect to follow, buy from, and support. Keep them on your radar this year and beyond!
