This girl, my Mollie! We have been best friends since we were in second grade and wearing velvet leotards. Mollie and I grew up together riding the bus home, quizzing her on her spelling words, and eating mac and cheese before gymnastics practice. We spent hundreds of hours in that dusty gym together, weekends traveling to meets, and were as close as friends can get to being sisters. Somehow, we get to keep doing life together from weddings to CrossFit competitions and beyond. Even though we haven’t lived within a five hour radius for ten years, we still keep in close contact, chat on the phone, and catch up right where we had left off.
A few months back Mollie sent me a simple emoji text. It was a bride + groom + baby = a family of three! I didn’t even wait to leave the gym to call her right away! She shared the exciting news that her and Isaac were expecting and getting married this winter. I was so, so bummed I had to miss her wedding and that I couldn’t shoot it because of our Hawaii trip but when her honeymoon changed two days before we left and they ended up at a resort two doors down from us on Maui, I knew God had orchestrated a way for us to celebrate all life has given us lately. An added bonus? The total bromance between our husbands that gave us some mega quality girl time! Mollie and Isaac are such a good pair, I couldn’t imagine a better man for her. Not to mention, the four of us our planning our next getaway together because let’s be honest, we can’t keep these boys apart for too long!
