Holy cow, you guys, this week has been seriously insane. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t constantly living in a state of wanting to pop bubbly and throw confetti all over the world. On top of some incredible (pinch me) opportunities and partnerships, I have been able to see some of my recent projects come to fruition, projects that I have kept under wraps for the last few months. It all started over on Instagram, a friend turned me on to The Everygirl and told me I had to check them out. I was hooked, these girls were spreading joy and empowerment and filling a corner of the web with inspiration and beauty… all the things I love in life. Alaina and Danielle had set out on a mission to fill the world with awesome things and suddenly I was along for the ride. We became friends and through email, Instagram, and a few conversations we knew we had to team up and make something awesome happen.
I ventured down to Chicago for a quick overnight trip and was able to shoot the first ever video tour featured on The Everygirl. The project was for Alaina’s (one of the co-founders) apartment tour and I was immediately smitten with the incredible decor, the charming character of her space, and of course her hilarious pups. We spent the day laughing, shooting, and enjoying each other. Jenn, a talented photographer from Chicago photographed the space while I shot video. Together we rocked our way through Alaina’s adorable one room apartment in Lincoln Park and the four of us celebrated over drinks and dinner afterwards.
The collaborations continued for me with these awesome girls and you might have noticed some of the fun that is happening! My little watercolor print shop is exploding with opportunities and one of them was to create a few custom pieces for The Everygirl shop! Yesterday I nearly peed my pants with excitement when I saw a mug with one of my illustrations! My paintings are something that are so dear to me to so to see the finished product left me speechless! I was also so pumped that Alaina had my “Let’s be Adventurers” floral print in her home, it looked AMAZING in her space. I am so excited to see what the future holds for me and The Everygirl, lord only knows I adore the women behind it and can’t wait to see them next and drink some wine with them! They are amazing women who run an amazing site and I am forever thankful for our time with them!
Here is the video I shot and edited for the tour, compete with Noelle Johnson’s amazing song!
That is the coolest “Emmercial” TM I have ever seen! I am so proud of my Babygirl…
Jenna, the video turned out beautifully!!!! You are one talented lady and I am so excited to see your lettering featured in The Everygirl shop now too! I’m so glad we got to catch up, hang out at Alaina’s and shoot her amazing space!!! Much love to you! xoxo
