This was the day our baby girl was born, the day we became parents, the moment we met the soul we’ve prayed for for years. This was the day when our lives changed forever, the moments I never want to forget, and the images I plan to look at on the hard days.
When we started to think about birth, I knew one thing: I really wanted a birth photographer. I know the idea is weird to some people but as humans who have literally been photographed through each stage of our journey, I couldn’t imagine not having the happiest day of our lives photographed… all I can say is, boy, am I glad we did. As I looked through the hundreds of photos of Conley’s birth, I was reminded of all of the infinite small moments that unfolded as we worked towards meeting our baby girl.
We just sat down with a microphone and recorded Conley Kate’s full birth story, so I won’t spend time away from my girl re-typing it up, so if you want to tune in and hear all of the details of bringing this little lady into the world, click here. But it’s safe to say I will treasure these moments that Red Bird Hills captured for a lifetime. There was something so special about everyone being able to be present and knowing that our memories would be preserved in such a precious way.
Special thanks to our incredible team of nurses, midwives, and doctors at Essentia Health, to Drew for staying upright, pretending like you weren’t watching the Packer game, and for cutting the umbilical cord and to my moral support team: my mom and sister, I love you three and I am so thankful you got to be the first to meet our little girl. It’s our joy to share our greatest day ever with you! So world, meet our miracle babe, the one you likely prayed for, Conley Kate Kutcher!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE how these are all in black & white!! I think they really tell the story and emotion so much more clearly than color would or if there were a handful of B/Ws thrown in. Congratulations!!! 🙂
These pictures are gorgeous!
Can we please notice though that the nurse handing you Conley has “Spend Your Life Wisely” written on her arm?
What a beautiful message to be passed along 🙂
sooooo happy for you Jenna!
Congrats congrats congrats! I am so happy for you and your new little family. Such wonderful redemption after such sad times.
What a beautiful record to treasure forever <3
