This was the day our baby girl was born, the day we became parents, the moment we met the soul we’ve prayed for for years. This was the day when our lives changed forever, the moments I never want to forget, and the images I plan to look at on the hard days.

When we started to think about birth, I knew one thing: I really wanted a birth photographer. I know the idea is weird to some people but as humans who have literally been photographed through each stage of our journey, I couldn’t imagine not having the happiest day of our lives photographed… all I can say is, boy, am I glad we did. As I looked through the hundreds of photos of Conley’s birth, I was reminded of all of the infinite small moments that unfolded as we worked towards meeting our baby girl.

There was something so special about everyone being able to be present and knowing that our memories would be preserved in such a precious way.

Special thanks to our incredible team of nurses, midwives, and doctors at Essentia Health, to Drew for staying upright, pretending like you weren’t watching the Packer game, and for cutting the umbilical cord and to my moral support team: my mom and sister, I love you three and I am so thankful you got to be the first to meet our little girl.
