punta cana: video clips

“everything is in motion. everything flows.”

i will be the first to tell you that photos can tell a story and i whole heartedly believe that. but after being inspired by a few lovely photographers, i wanted to shoot a little extra to remember our trip. now i have to provide a disclaimer: i am a camera hoarder, only one of my cameras shoots video and the quality is subpar at best, but some video is better than no video at all. i am pinching pennies to upgrade to get a new camera that shoots stellar video, then i will knock you off your feet… bahaha, kidding, but i will try. it was super fun to capture the movement, to remember certain things about our trip, and to help tell a story without the pressure of putting it together for anyone other than the two of us.

drew probably rolled his eyes 672 times when i told him i needed to stop to take video, but he kissed my feet when he saw it all together… kidding, he thought it was cool to see our vaca in a little reel. the fun thing is to be able to show someone snippets of your vacation in a short amount of time. believe, no one besides our mothers want to look at all of our photos. i promise you that. so, here is a little video look into our vacation, i promise, these vacation posts are almost done. don’t hate, celebrate.

can we also just talk about the fact that this was the third year in a row that drew celebrated his birthday in a foreign country? that boy is so spoiled. it is always a fun tradition and i really have to get creative to surprise him, since we are in fact in paradise. i mean, what more could a guy want? the lovely staff at our resort decorated our room complete with a bottle of champagne, cake, and balloons. drew had to suffer through my solo rendition of happy birthday, something most people should be happy they have never experienced. it totally helps me out in the gift shopping department because, hello, i can’t pack presents or my suitcase will totally be overweight. so we celebrated another year of this blessed life and relaxed in the sun with a little champagne and a whole lot of love. here are a few images to hold you over, in case the video wasn’t entertaining enough.

one more vacation post to go, then you are free to read the blog without sunshine envy…

so, let’s be honest, what did you think of the video?
