Oh, my sweet second girl. Someday we will laugh at the fact that you essentially lived your first year of life sleeping in a pack-and-play because your big sister just wasn’t ready to give up her crib life, but for now we’ll celebrate the fact that you have your first ever room (and dang, she’s beautiful!)
The first time I designed a nursery, it was when I was pregnant with Coco and didn’t know what I was having, so we went extremely neutral in the design (and we enjoyed that design for the 4+ years we had it!) But this time around, I knew the joyful girl I was designing for and so I was ready to bring in the feminine and timeless touches.
The wallpaper in this room really sets the tone (and I just love it so much!) When I was browsing the Pottery Barn Kids site I stumbled upon the Sarah Sherman Samuel collaboration and just fell in love. I’m so bummed they discontinued it, because I have a feeling you’re going to love it the same way I do! The fun scalloped details, the beautiful off-white tones, and I loved the fact that they had a nursery set that felt cohesive without feeling too “one note!”
Quinn’s nursery felt feminine without feeling to over the top frilly. I love the simplicity of this room but the places of interest from the acrylic frames to the scalloped bookshelves, the sherpa glider and ottoman to the beautiful woven baskets and accessories. It’s felt so special having this special room for our baby girl!
I wanna bottle up the feeling of greeting her massive grins in the morning and savor the nights spent holding her and rocking her. Time is such a thief but I can’t wait to enjoy this room for a very long time, watching our sweet Quinnie grow.
