I used to have her photo on my Myspace page… if that isn’t creepy crazy, I’m not sure what is. This girl, I tell you, this girl, she melts my heart. With that southern accent and the best hug, she just sneaks her way into my heart and makes me wonder if I could ever say “y’all” without sounding like a total fraud. Carly and I became friends via twitter… it was actually a tweet about back handsprings that united us and years later we are still in touch. It’s pretty much mandatory that I see her when I visit Dallas so I got to see this beautiful girl and her husband last week. If you don’t already know, Carly was the gymnast who won the All Around gold medal in the 2004 Olympics! (What?! Crazy, I know!!) When we are together we are two peas in a pod, we gab like old girlfriends, sip margaritas at lunch, and hug like we haven’t seen each other in forever. We laugh ’til we cry and sit on the couch and talk life, marriage, business, and the pursuit of happiness. I adore this girl through and through and loved seeing her on my trip and doing a quick mini session to commemorate her second year of marriage to the awesome, Mark! Texas wouldn’t be Texas with out this girl (and the word: y’all!)
