I almost laughed when a jeans company reached out to me to partner with them…did they not know that I live exclusively in yoga pants? I mean, pants with buttons and zippers aren’t even a part of my life and when I finally do the laundry, it’s about 20 pairs of black yoga pants. They didn’t know who they were talking to!
But when I told NYDJ the truth about my limiting beliefs on jeans, they rose to the challenge. They asked me if they could just send me a pair to try and then go from there. I figured, sure…free jeans? Why not? Well, they came in the mail and I timidly slid into them. To my surprise they ACTUALLY fit my big booty, my waist, AND my thighs and they were comfortable, so comfortable, in fact, that I wore them as Drew and I hung on the couch that night. He asked me what the special occasion was and I told him that I found jeans I didn’t hate (then asked for some champagne to celebrate!). This is all thanks to NYDJ’s signature (and life-changing) Lift Tuck® technology that lifts, shapes, and hugs curves for the perfect fit every time.
NYDJ created a pair of jeans that completely changed my perception of pants. They are comfortable, created for curves, and their all-new Smart Embrace™ denim collection has the added bonus of keeping you cool when the mercury rises – and warming you up when it drops again… perfect for the changing Wisconsin climates. Think of them as smart jeans made to embrace every season. I mean, a pair of pants that can leverage COOLMAX® technology with temperature-regulating fabric that keeps you warm in fall and winter and cool throughout spring and summer? It doesn’t get much better than that.
I am officially a changed woman.
I love this post! Your writing is fun and so genuine!
So, which jeans are these exactly? The ALINA LEGGING IN SMART EMBRACE DENIM? Or a different style? Thanks!!

Hi Jenna! I was wondering if these jeans hold up to the dreaded “chub rub” wearing out in the thighs? I almost exclusively wear black skinny jeans and I go through several pairs a year due to wearing out the thighs 🙁 The jeans I buy are comfy but soooo not durable.
Being a Wisconsin girl myself, I’d love to try these out for all seasons but just want to make sure I don’t run into the same wearing out problem before I buy!
