Hey, Goal Diggers! I am so incredibly excited to reveal this episode. During this session, I team up with Amber Lilyestrom, a true do-it-ALL’er with her toes dipped into the waters of branding, business strategy, writing, photography, athletics, parenting, you name it! Due to Amber’s crazy awesome, incredibly widespread journey, I am incredibly confident everyone listening will find a way to relate, learn, and grow as we dive into following our instincts, sharing the “hard stuff”, and allowing ourselves freedom in our careers. Buckle up, friends, this episode is GOLD!
HOW TO BUILD A *PERSONAL* BRAND:
Amber and I really view our businesses similarly- we seek to be our best selves, pursue our passions, and seek fulfillment. How do we do this? Well luckily for you, Amber is a guru in personal branding and jumped into how she helps her clients (and herself!) create a work climate of authenticity. She dug into her top tips, including celebrating community, using your core values as her foundation, and using your branding as an opportunity to be who you truly are. Don’t forget, “You are so much more powerful when you have the courage to be who you truly are.”

HOW TO INSPIRE OTHERS TO BE FULLY THEMSELVES:
Amber talks about the importance of connecting the dots that led you to this moment, this career, this situation. Digging into the WHY you are chosen as the person that has to serve in this particular way– whatever that may be. That includes the hard stuff; Amber mentions owning the difficult things that happen as a crucial part of finding yourself. “The more you meet people, the more you realize that everyone has their “junk”– their hard stuff. Don’t play the victim– take comfort that, yes, this happened to me, but it’s not my story.”
HOW TO PIVOT:
What is “pivoting”? It can mean many things, but in this case, it is all about changing the direction of your career, shifting your focus, pursuing what sets your soul on fire. As business owners, it is easy to get “blocked into” your original business model, branding, client services, but you DON’T need to. Amber reminds us to listen to that voice inside, let yourself transition naturally, and focus on what you like more in that season. She mentions being pulled by what felt good and looking at the people you admire- follow that and emulate that. Embrace those “if it feels this good, it can’t be wrong” moments and just be wildly brave. Hold tight that people before you have figured it out along the way, so don’t wait for someone else to do it. Be YOUR best self, everyday.
